Charity projects to benefit from Comic Relief appeal

Published on

Several member charities including Mencap, Age UK and the NSPCC will benefit from this year's Comic Relief appeal. As well as helping to tackle problems in Africa, the money raised by Comic Relief is also used to fund a diverse range of projects helping thousands of disadvantaged people across the UK. Mencap have been awarded a grant to help support older people living with learning disabilities, whilst the NSPCC have been awarded funding for a project dealing with the issue of sexually exploited and trafficked young people. Amber Foundation, Age UK, Alzheimer's Society, Mental Health Foundation, Mind, Coram, The Children's Society, Catch22 and Porchlight are also amongst the diverse array of charities supported by Comic Relief. Join us all week on Facebook and Twitter to celebrate Red Nose Day, taking place this Friday 18 March. For more information about the projects supported by Comic Relief please click here.
