Dying and death still taboo topics for Brits
Published on
Brits are still uncomfortable discussing dying and death, according to new research commissioned by the Dying Matters Coalition.
The research, published today to mark the beginning of Dying Matters Awareness Week, found that two-thirds of us are not at ease when discussing dying and death.
The survey of just over 2, 000 people also found that just 16% of us have discussed with loved ones where we would like to die, only 18% of us have talked about the type of care and support we want at the end of our lives, and very few of us have discussed whether we have made a will or the type of funeral we want.
