The Ministry of Justice has launched a public awareness campaign encouraging people to plan for their future and think about what will happen in the event of their death. The Choice Not Chance campaign aims to start conversations about plans for when we die, or if we were to become incapacitated and require someone to make decisions for us. The campaign will encourage people to take action by making a will, putting in place a lasting power of attorney and signing up to the organ donation register. The campaign is specifically targeting those between the ages of 25-50. This age group are known for being less focused on such issues, considering them irrelevant. By promoting the importance of making our last wishes known, the government hope to motivate the public to plan for their future. Find out why you should consider making a Will.
