International and enviornment day hits Remember A Charity Week

On the third themed day of Remember A Charity Week, charities dealing with enviornmental and international issues have shown their support for the nationwide campaign. The Yorkshire Dales Millenium Trust launched the week in their area by tying a yellow ribbon around an oak tree in their grounds. The yellow ribbon serves as a reminder that many charities cannot survive without legacies. The Wildlife Trusts have also been promoting the week in 31 of their 47 centres nationwide. The Trusts will be highlighting the value of gifts made through wills by using tea bags and branding at their nature reserves, visitor centres and offices. The Wildlife Trusts also showed their support for Remember A Charity Week by joining several other charities in Birmingham Town Centre to celebrate the campaign. The Trusts were joined by BID Services, The Shakespeare Hospice, the NSPCC, Macmillan Cancer Support, the Birmingham Royal, Ballet and three of their ballet dancers. The Wildlife Trusts were also one of forty charities who are currently featured in the Legacies Through a Lens exhibition.
