The act of leaving a gift to charity in your Will
What is Willanthropy?

We are calling on dictionaries to help us recognise a new term for philanthropy - ‘Willanthropy’, the act of giving to charity in your Will.

Can you help us make this a reality and build the prominence for legacy giving by adding your voice to the campaign?

This new word seeks to overcome one of the biggest misconceptions – that you need to be wealthy to leave a gift to charity in your Will.

We hope to encourage all those who wish to do good and build a better future to consider legacy giving and to inspire those who do have the ability to give generously.
