Ategi provides person-centred care and support to adults with learning disabilities, sensory impairments, autism, physical disabilities, mental health problems and/or addictions.
Every year we support around 350 adults through our 3 services - Shared Lives, Visiting Support and Community Support. We enhance quality of life by managing crises, enabling rehabilitation, maintaining and increasing confidence and independence, improving physical and mental health and reducing disadvantage and isolation.
Ategi was formed in the early 90’s by a group of staff working in a long stay hospital who wanted to create a better quality of life for individuals who had become reliant on hospital-based care. They set up Ategi to provide community based accommodation for adults with additional support needs, enabling them to live independent fulfilled lives. We have been providing quality care and support for thirty years and pride ourselves in being a friendly charity with a reputation for offering excellent quality support.
We believe that every adult with additional should be able to live their life, their way. Providing a safe, stable and supportive place to live is the cornerstone of our service.
