Caring can impact every area of a person’s life- 99% of local carers say they feel stressed, 94% feel alone/isolated, 96% feel their wellbeing has been affected and 92% their physical health, as a result of their caring role.

“I need more money. I need more time. I need someone to share the weight of responsibility with.”

There are over 60,000 carers in East Sussex, with 51 people becoming carers every day. We want to ensure that no one is left to care alone.

We support over 10,000 carers every year through a range of services including direct support, groups, specialist counselling, an information and advice network and free activities programme. We also have specialist support for mental health, young and young adult (aged 16-25 years) carers.

“The support I have received from Care for the Carers has been a lifeline, I was overwhelmed and lost, it has enabled me to carry on caring.”

Your generosity will provide a vital lifeline to more carers, giving them somewhere to turn, essential support and guidance and a break from their caring role.

Through a Gift in your Will you can provide a better future for local carers.
