The Moredun Foundation is a registered charity set up by farmers for farmers and works to support animal health and welfare through research and education.

Moredun’s research has led to the development of many vaccines, diagnostic tests and disease control strategies with the aim of prevention of disease and promoting the highest standards of health and welfare for livestock.

The Foundation provides independent information on disease control to farmers, veterinarians and those individuals interested in livestock health and welfare. The charity also operates an annual Moredun Foundation Award scheme to enable people to undertake short projects or travel to improve their experience and understanding of livestock health and welfare.

The Moredun Foundation works with schools and members of the public to develop educational materials, exhibitions, events and films to help promote awareness of livestock health and welfare and how Moredun’s work also helps to promote public and environmental health.

Legacies help us improve the health and welfare of livestock through research and education.
