When Myeloma UK started in 1997 the average length of time a patient with myeloma could expect to survive was between one and two years.
Today, that time has quadrupled to between four to eight years, with three out of ten patients living for ten years or more.
Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma and related conditions. We are dedicated to improving the lives of all people affected by myeloma, through a range of information and support services. We are committed to ensuring people living with myeloma get access to the right treatment at the right time and we continually strive to improve standards of treatment and care through research, education and raising awareness. Our ultimate goal is to find a cure for myeloma.
Leaving a gift in your will to Myeloma UK is an incredible way you can help support our important work.
Over a third of all our charitable activities are funded by Gifts in Wills. That’s a third of Infoline calls, providing support and advice, a third of drug approval panels fighting for the next treatment and a third of research projects striving for the next breakthrough.
By making a gift in your will to Myeloma UK you can help make myeloma history!
