PMRGCAUK is the only charity in the UK supporting people with PMR and GCA. We are patient focused, helping people from when they are diagnosed throughout their journey which can often be long and difficult.
We provide information packs, a helpline, an online patient forum and support groups throughout the UK - all vital resources for people who may feel isolated or need information on how to deal with their condition.
We work alongside the medical establishment pushing for better treatment for patients and for research that will make their lives better.
We also raise awareness to help people get a diagnosis quicker. Something that is vital for GCA which, if undiagnosed and untreated, can lead to sudden and irreversible blindness. We are currently working on a GCA awareness campaign which has been funded by a legacy.
