The National Brain Appeal raises funds to advance treatment and research at The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery and the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology – together known as ‘Queen Square’.

The National is the UK’s largest dedicated neurological and neurosurgical hospital and is one of the world’s leading centres for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with neurological and neuromuscular conditions.

Our aim is to improve the outcome and quality of life for everyone affected by a neurological condition. These conditions include brain tumours, stroke, epilepsy, dementias, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease to name but a few.

We achieve our vision by funding state of the art equipment, major building programmes and life-saving research – over and above what the NHS can provide.

By leaving a legacy gift in your will to The National Brain Appeal, you can make a real difference to the lives of the 1 in 6 of us living with a neurological condition. That’s 14.7million mums, dads, sons, daughters, friends and colleagues who are affected. It’s the challenge of our times.

Charitable legacies are crucial to the success of the projects that The National Brain Appeal funds. We rely on legacy gifts to get projects up and running quickly and legacies have helped us to initiate many crucial programmes over the years. If, like us, you want to invest in the future to fund innovation leading to new treatments and cures for neurological conditions, please consider leaving a legacy to The National Brain Appeal.

We are extremely grateful for every legacy left to us, whether big or small, enabling us to offer more support to advance the field of neurology and neurosurgery. Even leaving a legacy gift of just 1% of your estate can, and will, make a very real difference.

Thank you.
