The Rossendale Trust

Rossendale Trust provides care and support to adults with learning and some physical disabilities.

Our person-centred service puts the people we support at the centre of everything which we do. 

We provide opportunities for people with learning disabilities to live full and meaningful lives through Supported Living, Oakwood and WorkTaste.  

We support our tenants in shared accommodation to live independently, making choices and having ownership of their own lives. The tenants we support have a wide range of abilities and disabilities, so the level of support varies to meet the needs of the individual. 

Oakwood, our activity day service, provides activities and informal learning opportunities.  Working in small groups led by activity leaders, the Oakwood service is the most comprehensive and creative service in the area. 

Our supported employment programme, WorkTaste, provides work experience opportunities for people who might not be able to make the huge step into ‘conventional’ supported employment. Trained and experienced coaches work 1:1 with each person in the workplace, always promoting independent choices and actions.   

The Rossendale Trust has grown significantly since its establishment yet the dedication and support that is given to the people in our care remains. We seek to offer opportunities for some of the most vulnerable people in our community. Our services quite simply would not be able to flourish and grow without your generosity.
