An executor of a Will is the person that you appoint to ensure your final wishes are carried out.  

Their responsibilities will include things like registering the death, arranging the funeral, and sorting any finances, along with other important tasks. 

They are usually professionals, friends, family members or institutions such as banks and even some charities.
